I know I haven't been that active lately, and I still have a few holiday sketches to finish, I promise that I am working on them when I'm able. Work's been eating up a lot of my time though. >.<
In the meantime though, let's do a journal meme. This one was from
. Here's the rules. For the first 10 people who comment on this journal, I will feature one of their characters I like and feature them here. It is preferable if you have a visual reference for your OC, or at the very least a bio I can look at. That'll make things a lot easier if you are someone I don't know, or if I don't know much about your characters. I will not feature any fan characters. I don't care if your Naruto/Sonic/whatever is the best character in the world. I will only promote the 100% products of your brain juice.
If you do comment, I ask that you do this journal yourself with one of my people in slot one. After you comment, I will feature whoever I like best from your stuff.
That's about it. Let's start this off with one of Shockz's people.
, we have Rachel. Basic information:
Rachel is a sorceress specializing in mostly fire and ice magic from what I've seen. Which is odd due to another one of her traits, which is that her body is made of elastic. Whenever she uses fire or ice spells, she runs the risk of either melting or freezing herself. She can use magic to shape her body into a variety of shapes from the small to the large. Biggest so far is brontosaurus or an elephant (No scaling on the bronto). Opinion:
So a lot of people seem to think Rachel is the the stereotypical "dumb blond", and for a while, I thought the same. And also for a while, the only counter argument Shockz had to offer was a comic in which Rachel quotes some trivia (Don't remember what the trivia was) but in my mind, knowing and saying trivia and facts doesn't mean your smart, it means you remember things and you're a parrot. Recently, Shockz used Rachel in our DnD campaign, and I'm happy to say that I was wrong. She's not only been insightful and put what she knows to a practical use, but she's planned ahead, had contingency plans, and is overall an enjoyable character to RP with.
2: Here we have
's character Yukiko Masako. Basic information:
Yuki is a nice, but shy little dragon/demon hybrid. She's at the young age of ~1,500, and is the youngest of three sisters. Yuki's magic abilities consist of water manipulation, some minor healing, and warding magic. She has a bit of trouble with water magic, so she has to focus a lot or else she might hurt her friends. Her physical weapons are chains that move through her will to live, and react to her fear. She lives with a large dragon named Scythe.Opinions:
I really like RPing with Yuki. Usually I'm using Kenshin, but I think she'd get along with Raenn pretty well (as long as she doesn't use ice magic, and Raenn doesn't use fire magic). Usually, the RPs with Yuki start off the way any good RP does; with cookies/cake.
3: Let's keep the ball rolling
's character Briar. Basic info:
Since there's not an official bio, I don't have much to go on. From what I do know, Briar is a shape-shifting demon, (Preferring the cat ear/tail look), and she's on the run from some people, and is travelling between worlds to avoid them. Her main weapon is a scythe.Opinions:
I kinda want to see more of her story. I'm curious to see why she's being chased, who they are that she has to resort to moving between dimensions, and if she finds peace.
4: Raising from the grave is
's character Eddie. Basic info:
Eddie is a young zombie fresh from the car wreak. He awoke to see the city he sorta knows in ruins with limited memories, and the crawling feeling in the dark depths of his mind to consume the flesh of other humans. While he still retains his humanity and resists said dark thoughts, he seems to lapse when under duress and his eyes go all red and cool and stuff. The first beings he ran into were a vampire named Nicolas, and a fellow zombie (albeit a bit more Frankenstein's monster in appearance) named April.Opinions:
I don't think it's much of a secret that I like characters that go against the stereotypes/fate, or at the very least try to. I picked Eddie because I also enjoy characters who are in a constant struggle against themselves. I'm very interested to see what the story behind what looks like his medical treatment, if his past is ever delved into, and what the future holds for him and his companions.
5: Spitting on your face is
'(s?) character Mono. Basic info:
Mono is a creature indigenous to Chrome's world called an air slug. They grow quite large, so Mono wears a ring on his tail to keep him at a manageable pocket size for easy feeding and transport. I couldn't find a reference on air slugs themselves, but Mono has the ability to spit up different colored paint like substances that have a variety of effects depending on the color. Mono's body will also shift color depending on his mood. Usually, he's seen as red, which is angry or irritated.Opinions:
Mono is the type of character that even though he's rude to almost everyone he meets (including Chrome who raised him), he's enjoyable to listen to because of it. His race itself is interesting, and if Chrome hasn't made a reference for them, I hope she has one planned. Mono is the perfect companion/mascot for Chrome with his vibrant colors being a nice contrast to her black and white color scheme. I'm also curious about the ring he wears. Is it something all air slugs have kinda like Gatomon's power tail ring? Was it an artifact/treasure from some ruins that they found and were like "This is conveniently placed. Let's use it." Or was it as simple as they went to an enchanter, or went to Beldeph's Magical Jewelry inc. and bought it along with their groceries. And are there other slugs with the names of the other elements? This guy raises more questions than answers and he's probably laughing at my constant questions and thinking "Ha! I'm not telling." And then he spits burning at my face again. :T
