I wanted to be one of the cool kids. :u
1) How long have you been on DeviantArt?
About 7 years.
2) What does your username mean?
In my comic, Warlock is a mid tier rank of spell caster. First it goes Apprentice; they have yet to master any class of magic. Next is Wizard/Witch; They've mastered at least one class of magic. Warlocks have mastered at least a category of magic (Elemental/Arcane/Summoning/or Hexes). Sages have 3 categories mastered. And Archmages have all magic learned.
Though at the time, I just thought warlock sounded cool. >.> Also my birthday is January 3rd. So that's where "0103" comes from.
3) Describe yourself in three words.
Let me think...
4) Are you left or right handed?
Right.
5) What was your first deviation?
My first deviation was a sprite comic that was taken down because I used a base to model the sprites after. And this being deviantArt, they don't tolerate any form of bases in any way shape or form.
No I'm not still mad about it.
6) What is your favourite type of art to create?
Digital art.
7) If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
Is it possible to "master" an art style? I was always under the impression that art was an ever evolving process. Every time you practice the art of your choice, you're adapting and improving. Every brushstroke, every modeling equivalent of brushstrokes (Not a 3D artist), and every scene you set up for photos or videos; each brings you one step forward to having a style that you can legitimately call your own. And that style will constantly change.
For that matter, why would I want to be handed the skill. Imagine you suddenly learning everything about a certain skill. You know how it'll look, and have the ability to make it look like that. But then what? Would you know why it should look that way? Would you know why something looks good the way you made it?
I'd much rather take the time to learn the skill. Make the mistakes, see what works, see what doesn't. Tips from other people are welcome, and critiques are always welcome and taken into consideration, but the hard work and time it takes to practice will feel more worth it when whatever project is finally finished.
8) What was your first favourite?
by
9) What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
Good question.
... No seriously, I have no idea how to answer that.
10) Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
AAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!
ANOTHER HARD QUESTION!!! DX
11) If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
There are a lot of people... Basically, If I chat with you a lot, I'd like to meet you. And if I don't talk to you a lot, but you're on my friends/watch list, I want to meet you.
12) How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
Raizel-V has been a constant source of tips and trick for various art programs and anatomy. I feel like my art is thrice as good as it was before we met.
13) What are your preferred tools to create art?
My tablet or mechanical pencil. They're my trusty pals.
14) What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
In my room. Often on my bed.
15) What is your favourite DeviantArt memory? It was either doing
Mythical-Human's OCT or holding a fan-art contest. That was fun.
